An exotic ambrosia of vibrant rhythms, sublime harmonies, relentless groove & spontaneous improvisations guaranteed to get your mojo working!      More About Yabanada »

Yabanada is a collaboration of Texas Blues spiced with New Orleans Funk, Latin Rhythms & Jazz Harmonies. A veritable "Blues Stew" with diverse influences from Little Feat, Santana, & the Allman Brothers to the Funky Meters, Miles Davis & Monk.

The heart of the groove is driven by Drummer Jack Stoker, a veteran of Texas dance halls, has been seen more than a few times on stage with Sammy Hagar, with a solid pulse: courtesy of Bassist Kevin Wheatley, an old hand of the Blues Circuit in & around the West Coast Bay Area.

Rhythmic spice is delivered by Percussionist Albert Alonzo, playing congas timbales & a menagerie of instruments, assimilated from years of touring & recording, with the Reggae band, Zion.

Richard Conine, studied sax under the legendary Tony Campise of the Stan Kenton big band, & now contributes his accomplished arrangement skills while also providing soulful accompaniments playing keyboards, flute & saxophones.

Original by nature, the band features songs by guitarist Benjamin Lin, returned from an 8 year stint with a Middle East, 40's style Bahraini jazz band.

Ric Gallegos, a 30+ year professional, world touring, master trombonist making the rounds from the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland to the Corpus Christi & Victoria Symphony Orchestras, along with Charles Reyna, previous first trumpet of the Texas Longhorn Band, both add their sweet & tasty horn stylings of Trombone & Trumpet serving up Muscle Shoals Caliente flavor.

Benjamin Lin (Strings)

Songwriter by heart, musician by inclination & father by the grace of God. Firmly rooted in the Texas Hill Country & ranging far afield worldwide. Accumulated perspectives from many years living in Bahrain & Dubai, & extensive travel in Africa, India, Asia, Europe & the Middle East before resolving to "an undisclosed location near the outskirts of town" in the Dripping Springs area. Setting poetry to motion in a harmonious & poly rhythmic 7 piece band or melodically pondering life & matters of the heart as a lone troubadour.
